Yoga and Mindfulness

For Children ages 3-9 Years

Located at the Whatcom Family Village, Trees and Bees Yoga is a children’s yoga community focused on promoting mind-body connection in children through yoga. Through fun yoga games and engaging interactive stories, children can develop their gross motor skills and mind-body connectivity for better sleep, balance and coordination, as well as reduced stress and anxiety and increased self confidence. After stretching and exercising their muscles, children will learn to calm their bodies and their minds with a short guided meditation for children and easy deep breathing exercises that can be used in every day life.

  • "A healthy body, more focus and creativity, more flexible muscles and ideas, a better quality of life-in short, greater wellbeing. These are some of the benefits of yoga, and a great gift we can give to our children!"

Márcia De Luca and Lúcia Barros, authors of Lets Play Yoga
